Kristie Jacobsen
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Her work has included 23 years as a massage therapist, organizing a variety of spiritual workshops, retreats, and plant medicine ceremonies; five years working with IbogaQuest under the mentorship of Barry Rossinoff. Her approach in all her endeavors has involved compassion, professionalism, and trust. Overall she has learned to be a good listener and to be attentive to the needs of others, always working towards harmonizing all energies involved.
Her own personal journey has taken her to Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, Mexico, Spain, and the desert lands of Wirikuta, to connect with traditional plant medicines, ceremonies, healers and shamans. For the past 4 years she has made her home in Tepoztlan and through working with many Americans coming to Mexico she has been able to be a “bridge” between cultures, language and seekers of mystical experience. What she is now able to share with others comes from a deep, gnostic understanding of the importance of connection with Self, Life and Others.
Her studies include a B.S. in Business Administration and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, a 1000-hour Holistic Health Practitioner Certification from the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego and a 3-year study program in Gestalt Therapy at Escuela Gestalt Viva, Atlixco, Mexico.
