Illustrated by Frané Lessac and published by Charlesbridge Publishing, the book is a Junior Library Guild selection and received starred reviews from Kirkus, School Library Journal, Shelf Awareness and The Horn Book. Traci is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation and lives in northeastern Oklahoma where her tribe is located.
