Born in Edmonton, and based in Canmore, AB, Kristen is a yoga and meditation teacher who has been guiding people towards their passion, purpose and powerful presence on the mat and in this life for over a decade. Her playful, dynamic and heart-centered approach creates an atmosphere of what her students have been known to call 'fierce love'. Kristen offers an experience that will plug you into the power of connection to your Self, your strength and the wild beauty of who you are from the inside out.
She instructs vinyasa and hatha yoga with a focus on artful alignment and creative sequencing with the intention to always keep it relevant, reverent and real for the times we are living in. She blends science and spirit through ancient teachings, adapted for modern day living. Kristen infuses the wisdom of yoga, meditation, Tantra, Ayurveda and Shamanism into her teachings while challenging her students and clients towards greater consciousness on the mat, in their hearts and in their lives.
" My journey with yoga began over a decade ago and has been a constant source of illumination - expanding my edges, lighting up my shadow and offering radical transformation breath by breath. My intention and commitment to the practice is to hold this same sacred space and light as a beacon for others to awaken to their own radiant selves. It is through my studentship and studies and more significantly through my human fumblings that I have witnessed, learned from and steeped in the timeless potency of our ancient teachings and their application for modern day living. Together let's co-create a (r)evolutionary shift towards deep listening, soft strengthening and expanded heartfelt living. Wild Love ~ Kristen "

I met Kirsten per chance on a retreat that my cousin registered me for over Mother's Day weekend in 2014. Initially, I had no idea what I signed up for nor what the intent of the weekend was. Within the first 30 minutes of the start of the retreat, I knew I was in for something special. Kirsten touched my soul in a way I never expected. While the yoga was amazing and did wonders for my body, it was her spirit that I was so attracted to. It was as though she knew exactly what my soul needed to hear so that I could continue to move forward through a challenging time of my life. I left the retreat feeling more peace in my heart. Since my first retreat, I have followed Kirsten to a retreat she hosted in Camore in Aug 2014, and I will soon be joing her week long retreat in Peru in Nov 2014.

I first met Kristen in the Canadian Rockies as my hiking guide for the day. I was immediately drawn to her sense of adventure and play, while she made sure I was not overdoing it on the trail. She opened my eyes to even more of the beauty that was there, pointing out to me those small things that I might ordinarily pass by. I have found her to be an incredibly intuitive & empathetic teacher over the years, and she that way of making me want to challenge myself in whatever practice we are doing. And we laugh, a lot, which I love. She brings light to topics that can be very heavy, and allows me to see a more positive way to frame things. I cannot wait to work with her in Peru this November! She is a very special gal, I feel very lucky to know her.

The title of this review really says it all. Kristen Stuart is a talented teacher with a multi-faceted background. Her passion for health and wellness, and helping others find energy, power and balance in their lives, seeps from her every pore. She is a committed student herself - to reading, learning, and practicing. She brings this vulnerability into her teaching, and provides her own students with a holistic approach to their own wellness. With a passion for Ayurveda, yoga and renewal in the outdoors, Kristen will breathe fresh air into your life. I highly recommend one of her workshops or retreats!
