Casey Honaker

About us

Casey, co-founder of Nimea Kaya, assists in the healing retreats and supports our guests through their journey’s with Madre Ayahuasca.  He also focuses much of his energy on projects for our Selva Spirit Non-Profit Organization including reforestation efforts, community health programs and clean water projects in the surrounding villages.  His background in Western Medicine and Nursing has contributed greatly to maintaining a safe environment at our Center as well as supporting the health of the local communities.   He feels that Amazonian plant medicines, with their healing properties, are one of the most important components needed to help transform our societies.  They seem to work hand in hand with our natural physiology like a lock and key mechanism to open our minds and spirits.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Retreats inspire me to continue to practice and fuel my journey. I always find specified intention and feel it projects me closer to my purpose. Shannon

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
