LeAnn Blackert, Lesly Comrie and Michele Walker
About The Teacher
LeAnn Blackert was imported from the United States nine years ago to serve in ministry with the congregation of Mount Paul United Church in Kamloops, BC. Her interest in nature-based spirituality and her experience walking the Camino has led her to create Wild Church and Wild Pilgrimage in Kamloops. Her inner wild finds solace and strength in the wilderness.
Lesly Comrie lives in Kamloops, B.C. with her husband Bruce. Daily life, working in the financial services industry, is nurtured and supported by walks in the wild and a passion for experiencing nature as a guide to wholeness. Naramata Centre occupies a formative place in her family history, having spent many holidays experiencing the rich and vibrant community life offered through summer programming and later watching as their daughters lived and worked in community as summer staff.
Michele Walker has been a member of the United Church for 15 years. She has been active with Kamloops United Church working with youth, representing her congregation at Kamloops Okanagan Presbytery and participating in BC Conferences and General Council but found herself longing for something more, something different. With a love for wild nature and walking, Michele has been exploring how to connect the Divine and Sacred, deeper soul work and the wisdom that the wild earth provides. The emergence of Wild Church and Wild Pilgrimage has given a depth of spirit and soul connection to the church experience that Michele has been searching for.Source: naramatacentre.secure.retreat.guru
