Jeremy Martin of Cinco Medicos
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Jeremy Martin is the founder of Cinco Medicos, a shamanic healing center in Peru and Vermont open all year-round for guests, spiritual seekers, and those in need of healing. Jeremy’s work with Huachuma (San Pedro), Ayahuasca, Mushrooms, Morning Glory, and other healing plants and psychedelics (MDMA, LSD, etc.) is a powerful, intimate, and personal encounter with an ancient stream of healing energies.
Jeremy’s own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing journey over the past fifteen years has led him to guide and help others. Working with ancient healing sacraments from South and North America ignites his heart. It is what he loves to do most in this world.
Graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Middlebury College, Jeremy has studied Spanish, economics, and political science; psychology, addictions, and mental health at Southern New Hampshire University; as well as chemistry, physics, and the biological sciences at San Francisco State University. At UCSF’s Emotion, Health, and Psychophysiology Lab, Jeremy conducted studies on the human nervous system, biofeedback, and polyvagal theory. Working for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, Jeremy led support groups for individuals identifying with a mental illness, substance use disorder, and those in need of housing. Jeremy is also a professional writer and published author.
Jeremy brings fifteen years of experience working with various psychedelics, plant medicines, and medicinal fungi. He was initiated by Shipibo Maestro Don Enrique at the Inkan Kena Center in the Peruvian Amazon. There he completed several master plant dietas, studied ancient shamanic practices, icaros, purgatives, plant baths, powerful healing plants like chiric sanango, marusa, chuchuhuasi, and more. He also was trained to facilitate ceremonies according to the Mahua/Lopez lineage. In addition, Jeremy apprenticed for months with the well-known shaman, Sergey Baranov, in the Sacred Valley of Peru, working with the sacred cactus Huachuma and other power plants such as mapacho (jungle tobacco), sananga, coca, rapé, and other medicinal herbs.
Beyond his work at Cinco Medicos, Jeremy has also facilitated retreats for Sol Roots, completed coursework in Trauma-Informed Plant Medicine Facilitation, and is thrilled to be partnering with Beana Bern and Rootstock Retreat. Witnessing the profound transformations in others has also led Jeremy to become an Integration Specialist for MindLeap Health, where he guides sessions that are full of compassion, patience, and trust. In each session, Jeremy encourages others to explore whatever arises, allowing you to accept and allow all parts of yourself. He also covers topics ranging from herbalism, energy, yoga, and meditation to breathwork, stress physiology, ethnopharmacology, somatic trauma, sound healing, narcissism/codependency, and shamanic practices.
I look forward to meeting and speaking with you on your magical journey of transformation!
