Chef Douglas Rodriguez, the globally acclaimed Godfather of Nuevo Latino Cuisine, blazed the trail and has inspired Chefs around the world with his culinary creativity changing the image of Latino food in America. Newsweek selected Rodriguez as one of the 100 Americans that will influence the coming millennium. He received the prestigious James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef of the Year Award in 1996 and was nominated by the James Beard Foundation for Best Chef South Florida in 2008 and 2009.  Rodriguez was one of the distinguished culinary elite to be featured on Top Chef Masters on Bravo. Rodriguez is a renowned restaurateur opening many acclaimed locations his current portfolio contains MojitoBar in Miami & Sunrise, Florida and Alma de Cuba in Philadelphia, PA . Douglas has written 6 cookbooks, including Nuevo Latino, Latino Ladles, Latin Flavors on the Grill and The Great Ceviche Cookbook.
