Mona Valenas

About The Teacher

full time astrologer, singer and composer, shamanic practitioner

Passionate about astronomy and the starry sky since childhood, Mona began teaching herself astrology at the age of 18, while her formal training in traditional astrology began in 2002 following the teachings of the FACULTY OF ASTROLOGY ''BAKTAY ERVIN'' of Budapest, (Hungary) having as her mentor Tibor Takács, one of the best teachers-astrologers of Eastern Europe. Throughout her studies, she had the opportunity to deepen into the work of Peter Orban and Ingrid Zinnel, allowing her to incorporate into her practice a number of tools such as family constellations in the mirror of the birth chart, the astrogenealogy and the Tarot Symbolon itself.

In parallel to this she studied karmic astrology with Firicel Ciarnau in Simeria (Romania).

Mona opened her private practice as an astrologer on October 23rd 2003 and since then has been developing her vocation by operating this labor uninterruptedly.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

This sounds like a dream! I am an education student and I have spent way too much time working all summer to pay for school. My boyfriend of 5 years is a government firefighter and has been away working most of the summer. His 30th Birthday and our 6th anniversary is coming up this winter, we would love to celebrate with a yoga retreat! We both love yoga but have barley had time to practice in the past few months. Keeping our fingers crossed! Jaimee and Dan

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
