About The Teacher
Abtar has been practicing Yoga since he was 14 years old. He has been working in South East Asia for more then 12 years.
He has achieved a Gold Medal in the Team Event at the Indian University Yoga Championships and has vast Yoga teaching experience as a senior yoga teacher in Singapore, Malaysia and Macau.
He has also been Yoga Coordinator at California fitness Vietnam and Yoga training director at Karma Yoga Vietnam. He has also worked as a Yoga consultant at The Chateau Spa and Organic Resort (Berjaya group) in Malaysia. Abtar has also worked as a Yoga Programme Manager for “Just Yoga” Indonesia where many any branches of Just Yoga were established under his supervision.
Abtar holds a Bachelor degree in Physical Education, and a Post Graduation in Yogic Sciences and is also certified in Ayurvedic treatments, an ancient system of health care that is native to India.
Abtar seeks to convey the spiritual and physical benefits of Yoga and to promote the benefits of Yoga for a healthy lifestyle option and as a system of natural healing. He tells his students that when you practice Yoga you have time to explore and get in tune with your body. You can feel when to stop and when to move into a posture. This non-competitive nature of yoga is what makes yoga different from any other form of exercise.
He also had ample opportunities in conducting yoga classes to group and individuals from the rugby /polo team of macau and a group of international professionals FMX motorbike riders such as Morgan Carlson the international dirt biker.
During his classes, Abtar likes to give a modern twist to the ancient Yoga heritage and make it appealing to everyone. Abtar has taught to both Eastern and Western audiences and takes great satisfaction in seeing his students advance in Yoga.
