Marlene Klotz

About The Teacher

Marlene is a Yoga teacher from Austria with a passion for languages, creative writing and philosophy. She had been practising Yoga for around five years when she had the desire to deepen her knowledge and decided to become a certified Yoga teacher to be able to accompany people on their way to self-realisation.

The teaching that she received in her training was Hatha-based but she also practices styles like Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga and is constantly gaining new knowledge by learning from different yoga teachers.

Her favourite quotation of one of the main texts of Yoga, the Baghavad-Gita is “The self is a lamp which does not flicker since it stands sheltered from every wind” since it describes very well the form of inner peace that can be achieved by a persistently practising yogini.

She puts a focus on philosophy and psychological aspects of yoga practice and mediation and loves implementing mantra singing and music in her sequences.

For her, yoga is a lifelong learning process that helps us to become more peaceful and centred. In her classes she wants to create a space for the discovery of inner joy and also the contemplation of the current moment.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Retreats inspire me to continue to practice and fuel my journey. I always find specified intention and feel it projects me closer to my purpose. Shannon
