About The Teacher

Artist, Dancer/Yogini, Polyglot and Producer, Micheline Berry is known for her warm, humorous and multi-disciplinary teaching style. She infuses her life long study of somatics, world art and culture into her unique synthesis of Vinyasa Yoga, Buddhist Meditation and Creative Process. Her trainings and retreats are internationally renowned for catalyzing personal empowerment, leadership, community building and authentic creative expression in communities all around the world.

Micheline’s Liquid Asana Vinyasa integrates fluidity with asana structure, flow with mindfulness, creativity with intellectual tapas, adventure with personal introspection. As a pioneer in the art of integrating live world music and creative process with traditional yoga sadhana, her classes are often accompanied by a live dj or world music ensemble, interspersed with an occasional poetry throw down. You will come away from your time with her in touch and creatively inspired on and off the mat.

Micheline's current area of study is the intersection between soma, embodiment and creativity which inform her international work as the Founder/Director of Liquid Asana Vinyasa Teacher Trainings and Yoga + Art + Culture Retreats. Micheline's past projects including being the Founder of Zen Dancing, Co-Founder/Creative Director of Shaman's Dream World Music Ensemble, Founder/Managing Director of the Social Purpose Yoga & Arts Studio INHALE VENICE. When not traipsing about the planet, Micheline is happily nested in her Santa Monica, California home where she lives with her husband, singer/songwriter Joey Lugassy, and their two cats Bill Murray and Massimo.
