About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Santosh has been building for 20 years now, he first started to finance his climbing trips around the world or to practice yoga and meditation in India and Thailand. Following an alternative form of life naturally brought his interests to the alternative form of building. He first started to own Ecofinishes a small business of home renovation in Australia dedicated on using traditional finishes using natural resources. He then went to the Euroville Earth Institute where he learned the art of building with earth. Not long after, he started Phanganearthworks, a project he started by renting a land on the island of Koh Phangan and building it from the ground up using Earth bag building, bamboo and wood. The project was concentrated on teaching permaculture and running workshops on earth building and alternative form of energies. The all place run on solar energy. He recently spent 2 years at Monte Sahaja the ashram of Moojibaba in the building team, as a coordinator and in charge of the electricity. He is now back in Koh Phangan in the same dwelling place and wants to continue to teach and train people to give them the capacity to not only learn a technique but to empower them to bring their projects to completion. He firmly believes in the growth that comes from completing a building project, to the use of our hands in contact with earth and other natural material. It’s beyond any concept but a direct experience he loves to share.
