About The Teacher
Marina Del Mar, a native to Barcelona, Spain, fluent in English, Spanish & Portuguese, received her yoga certification as instructor in S’Om, at the Association of Yoga & Philosopical Practice in the island of Mallorca. She is certified in the different lineages of Hatha/Raja Yoga, having mainly studied in the schools of the Sivananda & Satyananda, incorporating meditative & elemental tantrics, based on breath work, which help with the correct practice of preparing the asanas.
Marina works with pre-postures & advanced postures, always protecting the student without forcing the organism; for this reason Yoga is so enjoyable, as it leads you on the road to self awareness.
In addition to her passion for Yoga, Marina is also a Naturopath specialized in the Nutritional Therapy of Ayurvedic Medicine, and she is also a Waldorf teacher. Marina received her certifications in Ayurveda at the Instituto Philippus Thuban in Madrid.
Having suffered a terminal, degenerative disease many years ago, and having healed herself through the application of Yoga and Ayurvedic techniques, Marina is passionate about orienting & assisting others on their own road to recovery & balance.
In addition to Yoga, she also offers nutritional consultative services & workshops about the nutritional therapy of Maharishi Ayurveda, which attempts to discover the cause of the illness-unbalance in order to arrive at the cure-balance through the use of food, healthy habits, and the detoxification of every organ, based on the person’s unique nature.
