Worst experience Ever!!! As a yoga student, I was really looking forward to taking Tracee Staney's Yoga Teacher Training - not only did it include something I was hoping to enhance my practice with but the images on her site as well as her Instagram seemed so inspiring and promising, I looked to her with admiration. As a yoga teacher, I was really looking forward to the modules included that I hadn't yet taken and growing as a teacher. Then I actually interacted with her, worst experience ever.... It started like this, I paid the initial deposit fee to secure a place in the YTT. Prior to the YTT starting, I found out I could no longer participate due to a new job in which I couldn't get Saturdays off so that meant I no longer could attend the dates of YTT, which were all Saturday workshops. Bummed out, I began trying to contact her - email was a dud, I searched for her number which was hard to find, and then found on her website a 'Contact' page which I used multiple times, multiple days prior to YTT starting to reach Tracee. No response, ever. I was beginning to think the 'Contact' form on her site didn't work. But I continued trying. The starting date of YTT came and then passed, but still no matter what I tried no response until I tried again after YTT started... then I got a response, and not only that, a response that since YTT had already started, I was taking up a spot from another student so a full refund was not an option despite me explaining I had tried contacting her multiple times prior to start date and no one had gotten back to me. She also shared that she had other students who wanted that spot, which now that she finally got back to me I could confirm I'm not participating hopefully allowing them to, and then she share the kicker. Because she assumed I was referred by an online source, which I was not... I learned of it by her assistant whose yoga class I took, she would not give me a full refund because she paid this online source, but I could have credit to take classes with her. I continue to state that no, I did not want that and I wanted a full refund. This time no response until a little over a week later. Now, I with my friends and family, had scoured her site and my receipt regarding a fund policy, which there wasn't one on either... That's when the lying began. She responds over a week later taking this time to change her website to now include a "No refunds clause" and now with this begins to lie, and claim that it was always there. Not only was this insulting but completely disrespectful. I'm still waiting for her to respond to my last plea for a full refund. At this point, I being completely and utterly disrespected and taken advantage of, I don't want to take any classes with her or have any credit. HORRID!

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is a desire to gain a deeper connection to and understanding of myself, something that I've been working hard on for so long and will continue to do in the future. I view a retreat as a wonderful way to focus entirely on this without the distractions of every day life! Nicola
