About The Teacher

Alicia and Ben are teaming up for a Unique Yoga and Wellness Adventure across the Southern Gili's Lombok and the Komodo National Park.

Alicia Cheung has been a movement teacher since 15. She taught her first yoga class when she was 21 and hasn't stopped. After becoming a licensed acupuncturist and nutritional counselor in 2001, she went back into teaching and eventually started YogaWorks' Destination trainings 11 years ago, offering courses internationally at both the 200 and 300 hour levels.

As a Senior yoga teacher trainer, Alicia is a teacher's teacher, and draws from all of her expertise as it relates to asana, mindfulness, meditation, craniosacral therapy, nutrition, fascia, neuroscience and more.

Originally from France, Ben established KiteWest in Geraldton, Western Australia, after discovering it was the perfect place to combine his passion for Yoga, the ocean, the outdoors, and adventure.

Ben has worked as a beach inspector and conservation Costal Ranger. His awareness of environmental and conservation issues is applied to KiteWest Watersports to ensure all activities do not have an impact on the environment.

Ben has shifted his career and specialised in water sports delivering Instructor courses in Kitesurfing, surfing and Stand up Paddle board. Ben at KiteWest is the lead Instructor and delivers all year round in BALI, SUP Yoga teacher Trainings affiliated with the International Yoga Alliance.
