About The Teacher

Vanessa da Silva began her exploration to Yoga 8 years ago, mainly for medical reasons, but it did not take long to develop a dedicated relationship with the practice of Yoga, as it soon became her life. In 2013, she completed RYT 200 hours Multidimensional Yoga Teacher Trainer with Indira Kalmbach, director of Pavones Yoga Center in Costa Rica. Later in the same year, has finished 100 hours courses (for RYT 500) in the Art of Flow and Integrative Healing Yoga Therapy at the same Yoga center. One year later, in 2014, Vanessa traveled to Mysore, India, the birth place of Ashtanga Yoga System, to study with Sri B.N.S. Iyengar, disciple of Sri Krishnamacharya, who is considered to be the father of the modern Yoga. There she concluded a Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Vinyasa Tradition. Ever since, Vanessa has returned to India many times to study with Ajay Kumar, direct disciple of B.N.S. Iyengar, in order to continuing her studies in Ashtanga Method and also go deeper and stronger in her personal practice and life. In 2017, concluded a 2 months Teacher Training Ashtanga Vinyasa Mysore style course with her teacher. Since then, Vanessa has developed a great interest and respect for this method, becoming dedicated to share this beautiful tradition of Ashtanga Yoga. One year ago, Vanessa started to study full time Yoga Philosophy with Mr. Sudheera, Sanskrit scholar from Mysore, allowing her to conclude Patanjali Yoga Sutras 3rd level and Baghavad Gita classical studies and chanting. Vanessa is also certified in Reiki, Body Therapy, Ayurveda Therapy and Meditation which she applies this kind of knowledge to be part of the transformation process of her students.
