Katie Taylor

About The Teacher

Yoga came into Katie’s life at a time where she least expected it, and likely, when she most needed it. She loved it so much, she ended up volunteering at the first yoga studio she’d attended, for 2 years after that. This was nearly 10 years ago. In the fall of 2016, she decided to do her teacher training course in Guatemala to improve her own practice. It turns out, she actually just loves teaching. It gives her a way to share her ample energy with the world, in a positive way.

Since then she has been living mostly in a ski town in Canada, thus teaching yoga classes to people with particular injuries and issues. She really enjoys teaching one-on-one or small classes because it creates a real intimacy with students. Sharing that process with someone is really personal, and she loves getting to know people at that depth. Katie is currently on a path to a yoga therapy program, and so she is excited to continue connecting with students in a deep way.

She is energetic and enthusiastic and she really just loves life and the people in it. Katie loves art and music and especially theatre. She loves to write and would be happy if she could find a way to live in her tent forever, and always wants to continue wandering the mountains, cliffs, beaches, plains and meandering trails of the world! In her yoga classes, she tries to reflect her zest for life, and her desire to connect to each student in a unique way.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration sparks from my innate charge to connect with a collective innate goodness. I aspire to live in a way that continuously blossoms and embraces my wise and compassionate human nature. Freundl
