About The Teacher

I have three loves; yoga, jiujitsu and elephants. Each of these aspects of my life drive me and inspire on a daily basis and I feel fortunate to have found not just one but all three on my path.

I am a full time yoga teacher since 2013. I have taught 1500 hours of classes and workshops over the years and my love for yoga deepens everyday. In 2018, I will complete my 500 hour YTT under Bryce Yoga and Yoga Beyond Training. I look forward to taking this course advancement and incorporating these new skills to my everyday teaching as well as launching my first RYTT-200 training course for those seeking to deepen their practice.

I have been influenced my many teachers over the years. In 2013, I received my RYTT-200 hour under Rusty Wells at Urban Flow Yoga in San Francisco. A local and personal mentor has been Lori Burgwyn, owner of Franklin Street Yoga, who has mentored me personally for the last 5 years. I am currently completing a 300 hour certificate with Yoga Medicine and Tiffany Cruikshank. I have successfully completed over 60 hours with Yoga Medicine.

In 2016, I started a non profit called ELEI, Elephant Education Initiative. Our mission is to spread more awareness and education about the plight of elephants worldwide. I am currently completing my masters in Environmental Sciences focused on Human Elephant Conflict. I plan to continue this education into a PHD program.

My flow classes & workshops are a mix of playfulness and laughter with a more serious blend of respect for anatomy and the physical body. When taking one of my classes you can expect a lot of fun mixed with sweaty vinyasa flow, inversions, and arm balances.

I am currently transitioning to offering more yoga teacher trainings multiple times per year. I look forward to exploring a new depth with personal transformation with you.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

It would my first vacation in the mountains. I think getting away and beginning a new routine would be good for me and a friend. Dianne
