About The Teacher

Julie Staples, Ph.D. is the Research Director at The Center for Mind-Body Medicine and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University. She has done research for 23 years on traumatized Veteran and civilian populations around the world and has been a certified Kundalini yoga instructor since 1996. She is the author of the yoga chapter in the medical school textbook "Fundamentals of Complementary and Alternative Medicine". Her book "Reclaiming Life after Trauma" teaches Kundalini yoga and cognitive behavioral therapy tools to heal trauma symptoms.
