About The Teacher
Adam is a social entrepreneur from Colorado that came to South America with the mission to develop social impact business models in neglected communities in Brazil, such as in the favelas and indigenous tribes of the Amazon rainforest.
After nearly 7 years working with ayahuasca and othe plant medicines in Brazil, Adam ventured out to the Amazon in Acre for the first time in October 2018 on a spiritual retreat with the mission to connect with indigenous community leaders and to see how his own community could support them as the guardians of the forest and Mother Nature.
In December, Adam was invited back with Daniel Bury with the intention to produce a documentary in virtual reality about the community.
They applied and won a grant from Google to co-create with the tribe a short film to bring awareness to the world about the Yawanawá and their culture.
Now, Adam is launching DaFloresta, a social business that offers one of a kind spiritual retreats, as well as plant medicines of the highest quality, responsibly sourced directly from indigenous communities and other local medicine producers.
