About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Niki Saccareccia is a Los Angeles based yoga therapist and mindfulness expert. She is the author of Roadmap to Mindful Living: A Practice Book for Turning Good Intentions into Long Term Habits, and the developer of a research-backed curriculum for creating sustainable changes in wellbeing. This curriculum borrows from her work as a Clinical Behavioral Therapist in special-education and at-risk youth organizations in her early career. Her work has been peer-reviewed and backed by research fellows at the NIH and Van Nuys Medical Magnet High School,  and brought to USC’s Novus Think Tank for Social Change, Loyola Marymount’s Masters of Yoga Studies programs, along with the Medical Magnet and Mathematics Magnet School of Van Nuys High School.
A major theme in Niki’s teaching is to provide a direct experience of the inner-healing intelligence. Her works aims to bridge the gap between your good intention and the skillset required to make sustainable change happen – to walk the talk – and discover the light of awareness, inside.
She specializes in therapeutic alignment and rehabilitation, injury/pain management, and fundamentals of Yoga for Beginners.
Niki is the founder of Light Inside Yoga School, a 200-hr certification course for registered Yoga Teachers, and a Continuing Education provider for currently certified teachers. She leads semi-annual retreats worldwide for students of all ages and conditions. Her written work has contributed to Yoganonymous.com, Wanderlust Journal, YogaEscapes.com, and Elephant Journal.
Her own ongoing education includes extensive study with world-renown teacher, Leslie Kaminoff of The Breathing Project, 120+ hours of advanced anatomy study and cadaver dissection under the guidance of Dr. Gil Hedley of Somanautics Lab Inc., and completed 40hours of private study in Thai Massage technique in Chiang Mai, Thailand
