About The Teacher

"I am an Iyengar yoga practitioner and have been teaching for many years in Holland, Switzerland, South Africa and now in Norway. I hold a senior certificate; yes, I am not young any more, too. Yoga is like a marriage to me, giving me support as a constant companion. Always new and bringing unexpected things, and yet so deeply known and familiar. BKS Iyengar has been a most wonderful teacher to me and the Iyengar community is like a family.  I feel passionate to walk this path with likeminded people and to share the things we find along the way.

I have done many retreats in Bodhi Khaya since 2011. And, as for many other people, the thought of being in this beautiful place brings a smile to my face. It is the ideal venue for a time to rest and restore and to delve deep inside.  And it is a  true privilege to share this time and  meet with other practitioners in this unique  setting of Bodhi Khaya. The walks are amazing and the pools are beautiful at all times of the day. The accommodation is well cared for. And, dare I say, some people come for the food!"

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To find peace and renewal while going through a huge change in my life. Empty nest and the end of a 27 year marriage all at once. Susan
