About The Teacher

Hi, I'm Rachel, and I am a STOKE COACH. Being a Stoke Coach encapsulates 3 things I am passionate about: Being Happy, Being Healthy, and Being Inspired. I am a wellness facilitator and ACE Certified Personal Trainer, that is also an Activity Partner and Adventure Concierge.

I've been paving a path in this space for quite some time, and I see that there is a barrier to entry for most to start working out on a regular basis, and to get into the outdoors, and I want to erase that by helping you to accomplish your goals whether its just plainly being more active, getting outside more, eating better, breaking out of your comfort zone, and facilitating adventures. I take my clients from identifying a fitness or adventure goal and being there every step of the way as a coach, motivator, and facilitator.

I've created a coaching business that inspires people to step out of their comfort zone and reinvent themselves by embarking upon total wellness. That means getting outside more, living a healthier life, finding joy in movement, and creating happiness. Sometimes you simply need a coach to inspire, motivate, and pull the badass out of you. Everyone wants to be a day one expert and I find that is simply not realistic. The value of becoming a better you is in the journey of the daily grind. I construct the small steps you need to achieve progressive, life-changing, results over time, that ultimately become the fabric of your best self.

When I am outside in nature running around, I am my happiest. I wake up in the morning to see the world from a different perspective every day, to get out of my comfort zone, and challenge myself when fear creeps in. How can I look at the world with awe and childlike wonder and use the knowledge and information I received the previous day to enhance and expand my experiences. I wake up to get outside, be active, find new adventures, create experiences and hopefully make an impact.

As for Fitness ... It’s not all about being skinny or running the infamous 8-minute mile. It’s more about feeling strong and confidence in your body, being able to go on an evening stroll with your partner, play with your dog without feeling winded, feeling comfortable to opt for the stairs near a crowded elevator, try a new exercise without feeling embarrassed, or better yet try your hand at a new outdoor endeavor like trail running, mountain biking, or even snowshoeing.

My passion is facilitating your transformation into something greater and instilling a mindset of strength and capability.

I want to help redefine the way you see exercise and fitness. Instead of having to stress about missing a workout or finding time to schedule it. How can we reconnect with our joy of movement? Dare I say even make it playful and fun? In my free time, I like to snowboard, surf, mountain bike, travel, cook, play tennis, hike, sail, take pictures, paint discover new adventures, and push my body so that I can continue to do all these activities as I get older.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is to find some very much needed solace away from the stress of raising 4 children, working (as a dietitian) and trying to get my private nutrition counseling practice launched. I am a registered yoga instructor and have practiced for over 10 yrs, and have always dreamed of taking a yoga retreat just for my own inner well being. Linda
