About The Teacher
Jessica has been practicing sustainable living principles in the tropics since 2015 where she and her husband spent a year living as full time apprentices at Rancho Mastatal, Sustainability Education Center in Costa Rica. Here she found a passion in working with living food and learning the art of fermentation using the organic food grown on the permaculture farm. The principles of permaculture are now a part of her daily life and she is looking forward to teaching you how you can incorporate these practice into your life at home. She also has a passion for helping people feel good and relax by leading students through therapeutic yoga classes. Jessica incorporates aromatherapy and gentle adjustments to your yoga flow that leaves you feeling brand new and ready for the day! Healing massage therapy will be offered following yoga classes for anyone who is interested.
Jessica and her husband Daniel decided they wanted something different and rewarding for their future and family. They moved their comfortable life in New Jersey, USA to rural Costa Rica to live a more earth conscious, minimal waste, sustainable lifestyle. Since the big move in 2015, their family has grown as they had their first son, Tyson James join their permaculture dream in 2018. Now they are working on a new project of reforesting their very own land with over 150 different fruit tree species and plan to continue to build their own homestead in the upcoming years!
