About The Teacher

Born in Canada, Corinne (Coco) started to practice yoga more than 20 years ago. For her, yoga became much more than a physical practice; she felt very soon the connection between body, mind, and soul. As a recognized teacher in the Riviera Maya/Mexico, Corinne travels years around Mexico, South America, Canada, and the United States to share her love for the practice.

In 2005, Corinne traveled for the first time to Mysore, India. She studied and was certified as an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher with V. Sheshadri, B.A. International Yoga Asana Champion, traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga by the system of T. Krishnamacharia, Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. In 2009, Corinne met Michael Gannon who motivated her to dive deeper and deeper into her practice and listen more to this profound calling. The next year, she completed the Gannon Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher apprenticeship and is accredited by Yoga Alliance USA and UK. By 2010, her inspiration for the study/teaching became so strong that she decided to dedicate completely her life to it. In 2015, she decided to deepen her studying to another level and went to travel to Asia for more than 2 years. During that journey, she practices with well-known Rolf & Marci Naujokat in Goa & Kirsten and Mitchell in Bali. She also had the chance to practice with John Scott.

With the practice of the traditional Ashtanga practice, Corinne wants to develop and create a strong foundation of trust, connection, and compassion with students and preserve this sacred practice. In Mexico, in the Mayan Jungle, she is creating a permanent Mysore Style Program at her Center One Breath of Yoga. Her Center also offers many other workshops like Raw Food, temazcals and Medicinals Ceremonies to help people in their process of Transformation and Self-Realization.

She brings to Orion her enthusiasm for sharing this beautiful practice and devotion to the tradition of yoga.

“The training is much more than Asanas and is the perfect program for a personal inner transformation.” – Coco

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Reconnecting with myself after a very crazy few months with a new baby! Just having that feeling of being grounded again. But also having an opportunity to connect with new amazing people. Getting exposed and Inspired by new (to me) yoga instructors (and community). Being in the presence of real, authentic and raw emotion (the whole spectrum).. So many reasons! Alyson
