Ava Shively

Why study with them?
Ava Shively is a recent graduate of Luther College with degrees in fine art and German, and studies in vocal music. They currently work as a farmhand and a framer, as well as an independent artist. Ava is primarily an oil painter, who uses collage language to explore particularly intense and overwhelming feelings of joy using isolated or repeated elements, saturated color palettes, and mixed styles of representation. They are thrilled to build a stronger connection to their art and the community around them as a resident artist at the Grünewald Guild this winter.
