About The Teacher

Dani is a therapist committed to collaborating with adults, couples & artists to help you uncover (or rediscover) your most authentic selves. I am a proud Health at Every Size (HAES)® provider who is passionate about working with individuals who have experienced confusion, anxiety or shame about their identity, bodies or relationships with food. Whether you’re struggling with Body Image, Creative Blocks or Work/Life Balance, Dani will support you in fully showing up for yourself so that you can become your most authentic you. Her background in the arts has deeply informed her therapeutic work–which is often from a strengths-based, humanistic approach. she practices the power of play & humor within the therapeutic space! .

Dani is a frequent collaborator with a therapeutic theater organization- Recovery Through Performance–whose mission is to serve persons on their recovery journey through theater and drama therapy, helping them transform into being the actors and directors of their own authentic lives. She also works with Balance Eating Disorder Treatment Center in NYC where she helps facilitate therapeutic groups for those in recovery from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and other disordered eating behaviors and body image issues.

I am also trained in Drama Therapy Techniques to help those who are stuck in their burdens.

“Drama Therapy is an active, experiential approach to facilitating change. Through storytelling, projective play, and purposeful improvisation, participants are invited to rehearse desired behaviors, practice being in relationship, expand and find flexibility between life roles, and perform the change they wish to be and see in the world.”

“When we surrender the need to figure it all out, and cultivate the ability to let it all in, then our earth walk becomes a sacred dance of healing service on the planet. More than the world needs saving, it needs loving.” don Oscar Miro-Quesada
