About The Teacher

My name is Forrest. I have lived in Nelson for the last 10 years and grew up in the pacific northwest. The strongest blood tie to origin I have is with the Karuk Tribe from the pacific northwest. When I was 14 years old I attended our traditional dance and was invited to take part as a man among the tribe and dance. This moment in time has always given me a feeling of belonging to something deeper and spiritually relevant. I feel deeply connected to nature and love being in the mountains, surrounded by water and animals. I grew up hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and skiing. 13 years ago I finished my education as a registered massage therapist and now days I instruct for a massage college. For the last 6 years I have consciously been on a spiritual and inner self journey. In 2015 I took myself on a vision quest deep into the mountains and fasted for 5 days, completely removed from society and all human contact. After that experience I felt a deep pivotal shift in my consciousness. Since that time I've immersed myself in mens work and sit in a weekly mens circle. I have learned how to listen to myself, how to process my feelings, and how to be in accountability. I’ve become the man I always desired to be, living in integrity. I am very excited about this opportunity and feel a sense humbleness to serve you in your journey into the mountains to get what you need.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Have been spending this year getting healthy and a retreat to relax and focus would be wonderful. Crocker
