About us

Marcela Lobos has been initiated in the healing and spiritual traditions of the Amazon and the Andes. She was born and raised in Chile where she leads expeditions, working with women shamans that belong to a matriarchal society that still holds the wisdom and passion of Mother Earth. She is senior staff member at the Four Winds Society and is married to its founder, Alberto Villoldo. Together they travel throughout the United States and Europe teaching the wisdom of the Medicine Wheel. Also they founded "Los Cuatro Caminos" in South America to share the same wisdom in Spanish. Marcela is passionate about taking women through "rites of passage" which allow them to find their power, grace, and wisdom.

Before her involvement with shamanism, Marcela studied various healing arts gaining a certification as a massage therapist and yoga instructor. Her understanding of the body was well complemented by her studies in Structural Integration (aka Rolfing), Cranial Sacral therapy, and a strong background in competitive sports.

In 1995 Marcela graduated as a journalist from Universidad Católica de Chile.

When Marcela is not traveling or teaching, she is in her beautiful home in the mountains of central Chile. There she enjoys gardening, drinking good wine with her husband and friends, and playing backgammon with her two teenage sons.
