About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Daiō is a Senior Monastic in the Mountains and Rivers Order. Before entering monastic life, Daiō taught Elementary School in London, before moving to the US to work leading children back to the natural world, with naturalist Tom Brown Jr. Daiō took full monastic ordination with Hojin Sensei in 2024 and became a senior student in 2025. He is the monastery’s Grounds keeper.
