Erinn Lewis

About us

Erinn Lewis, one of Austin, Texas' most popular and vibrant teachers, weaves over 5,000 teaching hours, 12 years of global teaching experience, with humor, contemplation, and a dose of good for your soul sweat.

Her classes are an adventure packed with yoga mythology, intelligent alignment, artistic expression, mindfulness, and dynamic sequencing. You will leave refreshed with a quiet buzz, a lightened heart and a deeper, sweeter connection to the intuitive place within. She is known for tapping into both the fire and nectar of yoga so that your own light can shine out.

She has extensively studied across lineages including Anusara, Bikram, Baptiste Power Yoga, Dharma Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and Yin.  Her personal practice and teaching style is infused with additional in depth studies in Transpersonal Psychology,  Chinese Medicine, Intuitive Eating, Ayurveda, The Art of Yoga Project, Street Yoga, DBT Skills (which include mindfulness,  interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance), 12-step recovery principles, body dysmorphia, trauma sensitivity, Buddhism, yoga mythology, and a love of poetry and music. As a mother of two young girls, the last 6 years has unfolded a vulnerability and strength she now shares with an open heart through her classes, workshops, and retreats. This has brought her closer to her own wisdom and truth, that if the practice of life (yoga) is not cracking you open… lean in, soften, breathe, and find space.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My last retreat at SMC was so inspiring and so relaxing. But i'd love to have more time there to spend at the Stupa, visit the Kami shrine, and generally interact with the beautiful enlightened society happening on that entire land. Brett

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
