About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Mark has been a dharma student for several decades, beginning his journey with Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and continuing with Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche since the early 1990s. In 2005 he was appointed a “Mitra” (teacher) in Nalandabodhi where his teaching focus has been the Path of Mindful Activity, exploring the intersection of dharma and daily life. Mark’s professional career was as a chaplain in palliative care, and now he has a business as a life coach. Mark served as adjunct faculty at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, guiding MBA students in “Mindful Presence”. His other creative pursuit is wooden spoon carving. Mark and his wife Marion live in Red Hook, NY.
