About The Teacher

Amrita Kaur is the spiritual name I was given by Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation. A spiritual name reminds us of our purpose this lifetime, our path, our gifts and the challenges to overcome. It serves as a reminder for us, spiritual beings having a human experience. There is so much precious knowledge about what it means to be human. I have been blessed to be in touch with that spiritual wisdom since I was a child. My mother, who is Indonesian by origin, instilled a deep respect for nature in me. She introduced me to the nurturing and healing properties of the earth. Through her guidance I came to understand how to live in harmony with creation. I also learned that rituals and sacred ceremonies are a very powerful way to connect to our higher nature, transform, experience oneness and give back to the planet which provides for us in abundance.

These early experiences made me want to dig deeper: to learn about ancient technologies that had the potential to transform and empower us. And to make that knowledge available whenever and where ever it is needed. During my London years I trained with women shamanic teachers. I worked with practices such as drumming, energy trance dance, journeying, healing and cleansing techniques. These techniques and ceremonies turned out to be the most amazing tools for transformation based on rhythm and movement. Canada, where I lived for some years very close to nature, was the place where I first encountered Kundalini Yoga and meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan which over time became an important part of my life and my work, experiencing the many blessings this system of yoga offers. I am an international KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, and am part of the Amrit Nam Sarovar Kundalini Yoga School, which is an international and global yogaschool.
Also over the years I have walked the path of feminine wombwisdom and share this knowledge in individual sessions and womencircles. In my practice the intention is to bring all these tools together to create a space that enables transformation and healing. I offer a highly individual approach, looking at a situation as it presents itself at that very moment. The guiding question of our work can be: What do you come up against now and what is needed now for you to re-connect to the flow and web of life, to restore the harmony within Self and your place in the world? Together we will create a sacred space of trust and commitment where the wisdom of the ancient techniques and ceremonies can unfold its power for you today. In teaching, guiding and sharing, I also honour with utmost respect and gratitude the spiritual lineage of my Indonesian ancestors and all teachers who shared their wisdom freely.

You are very welcome to contact us if you wish any further information, we are here to support you.
Bless you, Amrita Kaur
