Sheena loves the exploration of the body, mind and spirit. There is such a mystery to it all that is captivating. Some days she feels a sense of exhilaration rippling through her body, while other days she feels dull or vulnerable. And there are days when she feels it all and everything in between. Staying with her centre and riding these waves can feel challenging, and the desire to know what is happening can be intoxicating. But when she remains curious about what is here in front of her, she feels a sense of wonder. She knows that she doesn’t know. She connects to, what she can only describe as, the authentic self. Powerful, grounded and whole.
Her own journey of exploration began in 2019 when she took a sabbatical from her career as an actuarial/analytics consultant. She travelled to Rishikesh to study yoga, O&O Academy to study their philosophies and meditation, Bhutan to study the mountains and back to university to study humanity. When she was ready to move on from one path, she would look for the next tool or structure to help her on her journey of “finding” and healing myself. But when the global pandemic came into full force her journey took a turn inwards. She had no choice but to face everything she had used learning to distract myself from; the distraction that had prevented her from truly processing her traumas. Amongst them were feelings of her life being pointless and mundane, of being powerless and resigned to her ‘fate’.
Processing the layers of emotions, experiences and beliefs has led her back to all that she already knows. Like she had finally come back to herself after some time away. A sense of wholeness coinciding with a feeling of limitlessness. A connection to being. A warmth in her heart that is ignited with the warmth of others.
She works with others on their own exploration, to connect them to their truth. She currently uses meditation and yoga as mediums to do so and hold a space of compassionate awareness through the process. She invites everyone to be curious about their being and then to let go of it all to just be. She honour your path and your journey.
