Why study with them?

Shannon Brown is a Plant Medicine and Psychedelic Guide, Visionary Artist, Sound Therapist and Transformational Arts Facilitator. With over 25 years designing and facilitating arts and healing retreats, experiences, programming and ceremonies, including workshops at Beond Ibogaine Treatment Centre, Heritage Treatment Foundation, for the Psychedelic Association of Canada, the AGO, Agnes Etherington Art Centre, The School of Medicine at Queen’s University, and more, she brings her passion and skills to the realm of personal and collective wellness. Shannon combines multiple creative modalities in her healing arts practice including Sound Therapy, Expressive Arts, Shamanic Healing and Ritual, Dreamwork, Mindfulness and Reiki, and is a lifelong yogi, musician and dancer. During ceremony she works with the sacred plant medicine Sativa and it is her wish that this ancient beautiful flower find it’s place of honour in the world of psychedelic medicines.

Shannon is trained in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy® with the Centre for Medicinal Mindfulness in Assisted Psychedelic Guiding and Atira Tan in trauma-informed Plant Medicine Facilitation and Somatic Integration and is certified in Sound Therapy with Toronto’s Institute of Traditional Medicine. She has degrees in Fine Arts (Concordia University), Education (ACE, Artist in Community Education BEd, Queen’s University), a Certificate in Human Psychology (Bishop’s University) and numerous graduate level courses in Creative Arts Therapies (Concordia University). Her teachers include Daniel McQueen, Atira Tan, Artist Alex Grey, Dreamer Robert Moss, Art Hive’s Janis Timm-Bottos and Plant Spirit Medicine Elder Liddy Flewelling as well as her parents Artist J. David Brown and Florist and Designer Mary Lou Siemonsen. Her psychedelic teachers include Ayahuasca, Psilocybin, San Pedro, 5MEO-DMT, MDMA and Cacao
