About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Performer, choreographer and therapist. Since 2008 has made artistic work with the body at the center and with the dissolution of creator-spectator roles, receiving various supports and awards from INBA, CONACULTA, Tlatelolco Cultural Center, Secretaría de Cultura, TV UNAM and Dance UNAM, among others. Has taught dance and movement workshops in different cities of Mexico and has participated as a teacher in congresses in Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Brazil. Through dance therapy, Contact Improvisation and somatics has held encounters and workshops for all types of bodies confirming that dance belongs to all of us. Currently co-directs and is teacher in various educational and community projects: Mexico Contact Improvisation, Epiico and Casa del Movimiento. Graduated from CICO-INBA with a specialty in dance creation; graduated as Dance therapist and psychocorporal therapist from Casa del Movimiento, and as a Somatic Movement Educator from the Body Mind Movement. Trained in Somatic Developmental Psychotherapy with Miguel Islas. Specializes in Authentic Movement and has a diploma in Narrative Practices with a focus on and prevention of gender violence.
