About The Teacher

For Beth Filla, yoga is joy and expansion, an opportunity to uncover hidden connections and to watch the perceived boundaries of what is possible melt steadily away. Practicing since 1997 and teaching since 2005, she was certified to teach Vinyasa Yoga by Corina Benner, who came to the practice through OM Yoga in NY, and Jill Manning who was authorized to teach Ashtanga Yoga by Sharath Rangaswamy. In 2012, she was certified to teach Jivamukti Yoga by her chosen teachers, Jivamukti Co-Founders, Sharon Gannon and David Life, along with Jules Febre. Beth is the owner of Yogawood, a yoga studio that’s been serving the community of Collingswood, New Jersey (just over the bridge from Philadelphia) for 9 years. When you practice with her, expect to chant, breathe, move with energetic purpose, and feel connected to something bigger and more ancient than yourself.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica

Retreat Guru's Vision

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
