About The Teacher

Trevor Yelich

Trevor has explored and studied a wide array of bodymind practices and healing arts over the past 20 years.  Step by stumbling step the heart and common thread of these life experiences has slowly revealed itself as a deep curiosity about the mechanisms of Mind, the possibility of directly interfacing with Reality ItSelf, and Truth Realization.  In yogic terms, he’s found himself on the path of Jnana Yoga.

Regardless of the form of the experience, there is the possibility of turning towards the eternal… towards that which never changes.  Trevor’s offerings arise within this living inquiry and become the invitation for you to meet yourself in unexpected ways.  Whether it is through a deeply conscious and sensuous yin practice or a slow and dynamic yoga flow, through some spin-you-around-on-his-feet acroyoga antics or the purifying pranic vibes of breathwork, or through straight-up self-inquiry, he enjoys engaging with you in the human experience as old beliefs and concepts fall away.

The ever-changing experience for Trevor has manifested itself as a continual learning over the years as he steeped himself in Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qigong, Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Vipassana and other forms of meditation, Contact Improvisation, and various dabblings within the somatic arts.  He has also delved into the healing arts, studying Thai Massage, Visceral/Abdominal Massage, Bodytalk, Acutonics Vibrational Healing, Conscious Connected Breathwork, and Acupuncture.  His healing work and yogic offerings have also been heavily influenced by a myriad of experiences with numerous personal and spiritual growth group processes and North American and Peruvian Shamanism.

His first taste of teaching began with martial arts and later flowered within the Yogic realms after he completed his first yoga teacher training with Trinity Yoga in British Columbia, Canada.  He eventually went on to co-facilitate numerous 200-hour yoga teacher trainings for Trinity Yoga and Gaiatri Yoga.  In recent years he has also developed and facilitated Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator trainings.  Trevor has had the blessing of sharing yoga teacher trainings and workshops all across Canada as well as yoga retreats in Canada, Costa Rica, and Peru.  He lives in Calgary, Alberta.
