Why study with them?

Fernanda (Yoga teacher)

Hi, I'm Fernanda Munguia, I'm Mexican and I'm 36 years old. I Am
yoga teacher with more than 10 years of experience. My career began at a very young age with a professional education in classical dance and at school, I took my first Hatha yoga class at the age of 8. That's when I realized that my search for the body was more spiritual than performative, but it wasn't until I was 19 years old that I decided to close my classical dance school to prepare myself professionally in the practice of yoga and train myself to be a teacher and make this philosophy my style of dance. life. It was when I started my practice in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Upon learning about the latter, I fell completely in love with yoga and decided to take my first Vinyasa Krama 200hrs certification with Jorge Espinosa and Ignacio Simons at the Kiai school. Later I found a teacher more focused on the practice of Asanas with the Hatha method of Sivananda and I did my second certification of 100 hours with Fabián Montes de Oca. Later I was fortunate to meet my Tantra teacher Michael Stewart and it was with him that I studied Shanta Vira Yoga and delved much deeper into the subject of philosophy, mantras, pranayama, mudras, and all the knowledge behind tantra. Throughout my life, I have continued my spiritual search and met different modern teachers with different techniques at the International Yoga Meetings in Mexico City and taking classes around the world.
World. So it was in 2018 when he founded a specialized center in Shakta Yoga Center in Mexico City, in this school I invited 9 teachers to be part of the team, each one with a different technique or approach so that the students could obtain what they really it will work for them. And also exchange knowledge between us and continue preparing. During this time I taught Hatha Tantra Flow classes, which is a style that I designed that merges the 3 methods that I studied. Also during this year, I did another 100hr certification with the Kiai Method where my two main teachers Jorge Espinosa and Michael Stewart gave an immersion together. In the year 2021 Shakta Yoga Center closed its doors due to the pandemic and that was when I began to look for other alternatives such as co-creating retreats, workshops and private sessions to continue sharing the knowledge of yoga. During this time I felt the need to continue my preparation and decided to travel to India to continue complementing my practice. Here I took an intensive Hatha Yoga workshop with Sri Mittra in the city of Rishikesh, India and later I did an immersion in the Iyengar Yoga Ashram with Sharat Arora in Dharamshala India. I currently live in Mexico and I am designing my next workshop, reintegrating everything I learned on my last trip. My current practice, in addition to having a very strong biomechanics and body alignment part, integrates various breathing techniques, meditation, and philosophy. Yoga for me is a path that never ends and a mirror that shows us everything that we must work on ourselves and that is beyond the obvious. That is why I believe that the study of yoga is forever and even if we are teachers we cannot stop being students, especially in life, since everything is constantly changing as well as our body and mind and there will always be something to work on. I hope you enjoy my practice and what I have to share with you is for the
The benefit of you and of all the beings that inhabit this planet. Namaste 🙏
