About the Teacher
Why study with them?
From the Great state of Texas in the United States, Mr. Curtis began the practice of Qi Gong at the age of 9... Mr. Curtis started his martial arts practice with a Japanese style of Karate called Shotokan and also studied Shorinru, Judo, Tai Chi, and a few other styles during his 60 plus year martial arts and Qi Gong tenure. Mr. Curtis earned a 2nd Dan (second degree black belt) in Shotokan and a 1st Dan (first degree black belt) in Shorinru.
Although his first Qi Gong (original intent 0f medical and spiritual) experience started at age 9, Mr. Curtis returned to more of a pure and original Qi Gong at about age 35 or so... following a serious injury. Qi Gong when used with its original intention of healing and health enhancement can be very powerful... especially when healing and recovering... Original Qi Gong is softer than the hard arts like Shotokan or Shorinru... much more healing and spiritual... a much better fit for an aging and injured body...
Over the years, Mr. Curtis has studied and practiced various healing forms of Qi Gong, including; Five Elements Qi Gong, 5 Animal Qi Gong, Buddha Palm, Healing Sounds Qi Gong, Three Treasures Qi Gong, Dao Yin Qi Gong, Dragon Qi Gong, Silk Reeling Qi Gong, Iron Fist Qi Gong, and a few others... He incorporates all of these forms in his training and in his personal practice...
After his serious injury and during this recovery period some 35 or more years ago, Mr. Curtis studied with Grand Master Dr. Paul Ming at the Huaxia Zhineng QiGong Clinic & Training Center (The Center) in China. Founded by Dr. Paul Ming, the center once housed over 5,000 patients, students, and teachers... however it was closed in 2001 for political reasons. The Center had a 98% success rate in curing very serious injuries and diseases...
Mr. Curtis has studied with many different Masters and Grand Masters including Grand Master Ming (mentioned above), Master Dr. Yang, Jwing–Ming, Master Tsutomu Ohshima, 5th Dan Shotokan, Sensei Luther Duphey, 4th Dan Shotokan, Master Nakaqzato Shugoro, 9th Dan Shorinru, Sensei How Hee Chan, Chilel Qi Gong, Sensei Peter Ragnar, and a few others...
