The first time I did yoga, it was because my thoughtful mom gifted me a class pass at Breathe Yoga & Wellness Center for my birthday. Not because I was very spiritual or fitness-oriented, but because she thought I could find a less stressed version of myself. I reluctantly went and mom was right; yoga transformed my life (eventually), and continues to do so- but it took true intention and a lot of time for my practice to become regular. My lack of motivation and struggles with body and mind, which initially prevented me from practicing regularly, were eased when I pushed myself to get to a yoga class. Along with a natural progression of lifestyle changes, my increased yoga practice brought me the peace I didn’t know I had been seeking.
In 2013 I trained in the Akhanda style with Divya Elting as my guide and joined the World Conscious Yoga Family. This gave me the opportunity to introduce others to the practice that changed my mind, body, and spirit. I made the shift from science teacher to yoga teacher and have not looked back.
As a teacher, I offer flowing classes with specific breath and alignment direction, along with plenty of space for inner guidance. I love music and fancy myself quite the playlist curator. My mission as a teacher is to help every person feel comfortable doing yoga so that they may explore the benefits yoga can offer them.
As a human, my mission is to serve for betterment of this earth, to make a positive impact on the environment, and to share love with all the animals and people I meet.Source: vidaasana.secure.retreat.guru
