My passion for yoga was ignited through a dedicated practice of asana, pranayama and meditation. During my travels to India I explored many styles of yoga and it was through Hatha yoga, meaning 'Ha' SUN and 'Tha' MOON - the balance of energies - that I became an accredited yoga teacher in Mysore, India. I furthered my studies last year by completing another 200 hour YTTC in Akhanda yoga, meaning whole, balanced. Bringing an even deeper level of awareness to my teaching is my knowledge as an accredited massage therapist. I have been practicing for 10 years, and have created a style of massage using a range of techniques taken from a Remedial Diploma, completed in Melbourne, as well as studies in India and Thailand. I take a holistic approach to treatment and believe that our bodies are self-correcting systems, which are adaptable and responsive to healing through conscious awareness and re-patterning.
In combining massage with a regular yoga practice, a harmony between body alignment and stillness of the mind, I encourage everyone's ability to find strength within softness, balance through breath, and union of body and mind.
Through individualized sessions, I will provide an anatomical assessment, share techniques and help guide you with a yoga program that is suited to your body type, lifestyle and needs.
My yogic journey continues to deepen through self-practice; and I’m forever grateful for the teachers that have led me to where I am today and all the experiences that enable me to learn, grow and share.
