Kathleen Barber

Kathleen Barber is a spiritual director trained in the Pacific Jubilee Program and a recently retired designated lay minister in the United Church of Canada. She has also retired from being a cruising sailboat instructor and from event coordination at the Vancouver Public Library.  These seemingly unconnected careers have at least one thing in common and that is, they all involved walking with people from ‘I wonder about’ to ‘I find wonder in’.  Accompaniment is Kathleen’s deep love: in worship, in small groups, or with individuals on their journey - including spiritual direction. Poetry is essential for Kathleen and she believes in laughter as a connecting and healing spiritual practice.
