Jim Kalnin

Jim Kalnin has drawn and painted his whole life. He started teaching at Vancouver School of Art in the 1960s, worked as a film animator with the National Film Board, taught at the Cape Dorset film animation school in the 1970s, has taught art classes at galleries, community centres, summer school and Naramata Centre. He was also an instructor and then professor at the Fine Arts departments of Okanagan College Kelowna and UBCO Okanagan. Helping others find their creative gifts still lights Jim up after all these years.
