Kristian Power

My name is Kristian Power and I am a 37 year old human from Planet earth. I am blessed to have been born into an amazing family here in Canada. My musical journey started when I was just a little boy. At the age of 7 years old I became obsessed with the electric guitar. After a few years of persistent asking my parents bought me my first cherry red electric guitar and as I held it in my hands I knew I was destined to make music. I learned to play the guitar, then the drums, then the Bass guitar. After High School graduation I was very fortunate to acquire a job working for an international exploration company which in the span of a 13-year career sent me to over 45 different countries. These years abroad provided me with huge life lessons, and opened my eyes to the mysteries of this beautiful planet and its amazing inhabitants. Upon my return from my adventures I began working for The One World Drum company. I was trained by Master Duncan and sent to the local school to teach the children about music and movement. Utilizing the west African Djembe, and other exotic instruments I was unstoppable. These were very momentous days.
In 2018 I married the love of my life and we now reside in the most wonderful place on the planet, The Okanagan Valley!!! Currently I am the Owner and Operator of Artisan Instruments,
designing and building musical instruments for all levels of mastery. Not only do I love creating but I also teach, perform and continue my journey of learning everything I can about music and
the human interaction with it. Let's make some music together!!!
