About The Teacher

Ali Modell, ERYT-500, is dedicated to teaching yoga as an interdisciplinary and contemplative path. Having studied with a variety of teachers, Ali’s primary influence has been Tias Little of Prajna Yoga, and she now teaches on his behalf as a Prajna Yoga Senior Teacher. She is committed to the Insight meditation tradition (Vipassana) and is further influenced by Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains course of study. Ali is currently completing a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago with integrative coursework in East Asian Medicine theory, Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Biomedicine. Rooted in the midwest and teaching since 2005, Ali offers workshops and training programs regionally and in 2009-2010 taught for Pure Yoga–Taiwan. Learn more at
