“I was introduced to Transcendental Meditation by my father as a young child. At the age of 17, I left Iran for India where I learned Sudarshan Kriya as taught by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and started my Yoga asana practice with master Akshar. After five years I left for Turkey and studied Hatha Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation with David Cornwell (Advayta School), in Cihangir Yoga. I started practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Krama Yoga with Ken the Rolfer in Istanbul and continued my practice with Mark Darby, Shankara Darby and Ron Reid in Toronto and Vijay Amar in Goa. In Iran I studied practical philosophy with my teacher Dr. Mohammad Ahyaee, In Toronto I continued my Meditation studies with Bhante Debongshi (Buddhananda Bhikkhu) and in India I studied Yoga philosophy with Dr. Ganesh Rao. I feel blessed to practice and serve at Vipassana Meditation courses in India, Nepal, Iran and Canada. I am a member of the Society of Osteopaths of Canada and studied Osteopathic Manual Therapy at National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto. In India I learned Ayurvedic Abhyanga from Dr. Shashirekha and currently I continue my education in the field of Botanical Medicine through National University of Medical Sciences.”
