About The Teacher

Laura Chartrand works for Papaya Wellness who runs retreats in Nicaragua and Bali. Retreat season is from February to May and located on some of the most beautiful and prestine beach locations you've ever laid your eyes on. Papaya Welness seeks to restore balance and lightness to one's life. Through a twice daily yoga practice, surfing, healthy eating and offering an authentic experience by exploring local villages, we encourage you to be present.

Laura is a free-spirited, nurturing and passionate individual who encourages living a balanced and healthy lifestyle. She endorses this way of life through her teachings in yoga and as a healer by creating an atmosphere that supports a healthy mind and body. Originally from Ontario but her true roots exist in in Victoria, BC, where she fell in love with yoga and the ocean. What she loves most about her yoga practice is that it allows her to let go, move freely, and enjoy moments of stillness.

Her journey in yoga led her to Nicaragua, where she completed her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification with Meghan Currie. She has recently joined our team as a yoga teacher and will lead you through a class that is challenging, inspiring and heart opening. Laura is also a Reiki Practitioner and offers treatments that reduce stress, relieve pain, anxiety and promotes healing. She is constantly challenging herself and learning new skills in the realm of health and wellness to help others live clean, feel energized and strong.
