About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Mendel is an Ayahuasquero dedicated to creating a safe, grounded, and supportive ceremonial experience. He has trained for the past four years under Maestro Ayahuasquero Omar Ahmadzai and draws from the traditions and practices passed down through that lineage. During ceremony, Mendel incorporates traditional Icaros in Shipibo, Quechua, and Kokama, along with instruments such as flutes and drums, to help support the space and the participant experience.
His approach to ceremony is centered around three core intentions: creating a space where participants feel safe and supported, helping guide people into a deeper connection with themselves and the medicine experience, and tending carefully to the energy and atmosphere of the ceremony so participants can leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded. Mendel approaches this work with humility, sincerity, and deep respect for the medicine and the traditions he has dedicated himself to studying.
