Heather Holdener – Master Bellyfit Instructor and Trainer Heather Holdener has been a Bellyfit Instructor since 2007, and a Bellyfit Master trainer since 2012. She is a BCRPA certified group fitness instructor. Heather teaches Bellyfit and Bellyfit Flow in Nelson BC, where she has lived since 2004. Heather grew up dancing, studying various styles of dance over the years, such as jazz, ballet, Bellydance, and Bollywood. From 2001-2003 Heather performed with The Wassabi Collective, a Canadian touring band, where she performed both Bellydance and Poi spinning with them. She has also taught Bellydance and Poi throughout BC. She co-founded The Baladi Moon dancers, a bellydance troupe in Nelson BC, which led her to perform with various musicians such as Adham Shaikh and Delhi 2 Dublin on festival stages. Seeking ways of incorporating more cardio exercise into her life, lead her to the discovery of Bellyfit. Since then, Bellyfit has become a source of inspiration, connecting her to her body and using movement as a way to move through life’s challenges with grace and strength.
